Antioch Church is kicking off its annual toy drive for the Simi Valley Community Christmas Shoppe.

Each year, toy collection boxes are set out around Simi Valley and surrounding areas. In December, struggling families are invited to a shop at Antioch church in Simi Valley where parents can select Christmas gifts for their children at no cost.

Community Christmas Shoppe has served thousands of families through the years. The shop is planned and carried out by volunteers. Shop leadership distributes tickets to churches and social service agencies that in turn invite families they deem most in need.

Residents can get involved in the Community Christmas Shoppe by making a financial donation or sponsorship; volunteering at a shop; hosting a donation box at a business, church or school; or donating new toys and gifts.
